Day 365

We did it! 365 pictures of our life. Thanks for following along!

Day 364

Patrick playing Dance Central for the Kinect at our friends house. Watching everyone dance was so funny, I almost peed!

Building Gingerbread Houses with our friends.

This year Staci bought the little munchkins a little house of their own to decorate. It was perfect, and the kids loved it!!

Mom Mom made us some Maryland style crab legs and cream of crab soup. It was SO, SO GOOD! (and Madison was thrilled - she LOVES crabs!)

I surprised my sickie-poo with a gift she's been wanting forever - Bendaroos. If you're a Mom, I'm sure you've heard the infomercial! ;) "Benda what?! Benda ROOS!" Haha. They're actually alot of fun. I made Maddy a Sponge Bob by decorating over a raisin box. It totally cheered her up!

Day 359

Poor Maddy caught a cold - we decided to take her with us into the sauna for 10 minutes to get her body temperature up (hoping to zap some of the nasty bugs). She thought she was pretty cool getting to go in there with us!

"new do"

I've found myself with this thing called, free time, lately. It's a really nice thing to have. It's helped me to be able to do some things I never get around to doing. Like #1 - organizing drawers and closets, which today, led me to come across the big bag of hair I saved from when Madison gave herself a haircut last summer, which then led me to # 2 - sitting down and scrapping a page about the incident! (I used a little piece of the saved hair on the page and threw the rest of it away.)

Yes, he is a boy kitty - but that didn't stop Madison and I from ordering pink and purple SoftPaw covers for him! (Hehehee!)

Cleaning out my purse!
I dumped everything out! How does all this crap get in my purse? And why does it always return? I have to clean it out every couple of weeks because it is always exploding with STUFF! Yuck!

Day 354

Madison was playing dress up with some of her Grandma's shoes. When I walked in on her in the bathroom it was just a funny sight to me. These big old shoes hanging off her feet, not touching the ground. It made me laugh!!

Day 353

Miss Bellew was the first client of the day to recieve a manicure from "Mom Mom's nail salon". The girl got a hand soak, trim, file, polish and oil. She is certainly being spoiled with lots of love and attention right now!

I had to make this my picture of the day because it's a perfect example of the relationship between Patrick and his Mom. She wanted us to make a list of things she could help us out with around the house.. and this is what Patrick writes. Their relationship is so odd, so un-what I'm used to, but so very real. I love it!

Pajama Day at school! 

The kids were allowed to bring a stuffed animal also. I have never seen her more excited to go to sschool than on this day. (I was also excited because it was her last day - we're on winter break now and I get to enjoy her home for 2 whole weeks!!!)

Mom Mom dressed Madison up like the little Israelite girl and then she had her quiz us. We had to guess who she was. It was such a great way to get Madison excited about Family Worship night!

Day 349

Homework assignment: Sort a buttons from the button box by colors, then shapes, then sizes and then by the number of holes. (This took FOREVER!)

 Now that Madison is learning to write on her own, we are getting sweet little cards made for us. I'm totally loving this!

Dropping Maddy off for school. We showed Mom-Mom where her class was so she could pick her up today while I was at work. Maddy is so excited to have her other Grandma here!

Day 346

Patrick's Mom is in town for a visit. While I was gone the night before, she had cleaned the house. (Dishes, laundry, etc.) When I woke up this morning, she was on a walk with the dog and Madison. The house was clean, quiet and so peaceful. I enjoyed a cup of coffee and studied my Watchtower without a single interruption!! :)

A group of sisters got together at Green Tangerines for a little scrapping time. (Will I ever catch up?! Probably not, but I'm trying anyways!)

I got home late Saturday night and found a teenage boy sleeping on my couch! (I used to watch him when he was just a little baby! And now he's huge!)

December's Calendar. This months poem is Gingerbread Children. It is longer than the previous months. I can't even memorize it yet, how is my 5 year old supposed to?!

Every month the office at our complex fills a glass jar with some objects and has a "guess how many" contest for the kids. Well, we got the call that Madison guessed the correct amount of bouncy balls in the jar.. and she won them.. all of them. Yes, 239 bouncy balls! She was so excited, I on the other hand was a little less than thrilled! :)

Finishing up some November homework. Madison chose to write the sentence "I am thankful for my kitten".

Her friend got her a gift - a little paint it yourself jewelry box. She couldn't wait to get started on it!

Working on some homework. She brought home the hand box - full of nuts and bolts to unscrew, play dough to form tiny balls and a clothespin to transfer beads and pom poms to a bowl with - all to strengthen her fingers up!

When I picked Madison up from school today, I had a surprise for her - little Ava was with me. She was SO excited! She showed her friend all around her classroom. Then we had a picnic lunch and the girls played at the park. We followed that up with a trip to the yogurt shop. They were too cute picking out their favorite toppings! The girls had so much fun together!
